FAQ's

A – 

1) Indian Chartered Accountants 
Answer – A qualified chartered accountant from the ICAI, India and residing in Continental Europe with a valid residence visa. 
2) Other Professionals –
Answer – Any typically qualified professionals, financial service providers, service providers in financial service, accountants, financial analyst, auditors, lawyer, engineers, teachers, or any certification course holders. Any individual persons or representative of corporation, associations, organisations etc. Any other persons who would like to be participant to events organsied by ICAI LUX in form of seminars, conferences, workshops, webinars or who subscribe to the events, awareness talks, discussion sessions either through online or physical events.

A –  By filling online form on the website (http://www.icailux.lu/Membership.php) and after paying annual membership fees. European resident professional can become member of ICAI Lux Chapter. ICAI Lux will have a verification of submitted data and once completion of other procedural requirements he/she will become member of the ICAI Lux Chapter.

A – ICAI Lux Chapter charges annual membership fees to enable it to conduct its various activities. Currently the fees is Euro 50/- per annum. The fees will be charged as per calendar year. New Members joining in middle of year will be required to pay the 60% of the membership fee.

A – For Indian Chartered Accountants, it is recommended to have active membership with ICAI, India or of any other Chapter of ICAI India.

A – The Luxembourg Chapter of ICAI provides its members a platform at which they can interact with prominent people and build their own network in the region. Also, Chapter helps to gain further knowledge from the various seminars, meetings and workshops that are regularly organized by the Chapter.

A – The Luxembourg Chapter does not provide placement service. However, by way of attending seminars & workshops organized by the Chapter any individual can come across opportunities available within the members group or their associates.

A –Luxembourg Chapter’s members are not directly practicing in the country or within the Europe unless they have requisite qulaification in Europe, so it is not possible to complete article-ship in Luxembourg/Europe. Also Chartered accountants are not authorized by ICAI India to practice outside India except Dubai & Nepal.

A – It is essential to be a member of the Luxembourg Chapter to participate in the activities of this Chapter. Committee will approach to individual member for assistance whenever it is required.

A – Yes, any Luxembourg Chapter’s member can do a presentation on relevant & important topics at the Luxembourg Chapter of ICAI. The interested member need to approach to “Managing Committee” of Luxembourg Chapter of ICAI with a draft/final presentation. If the topic is decided as being of interest and suitable to be presented to the members of the Luxembourg Chapter of ICAI, the committee will advise accordingly to the presenter member.

A –Luxembourg Chapter can facilitate in renewal of membership at ICAI India.

A –Luxembourg Chapter will be working closely with various local professional regulatory bodies such as IRE (http://ire.lu/) and OEC (http://www.oec.lu/myeteam/index.htm#HOME/3) along with ICAI Headquarters in India to agree on the MOU between them so that CA as Brand could become stronger in the Luxembourg and it could create more opportunities for CAs based in Luxembourg.
